Canadians can no longer assume there will be more water to tap or no limit to the amount of waste water we can dump into rivers and streams. We must change the way we use and abuse water.
FOE’s water work:
insists that regulations be enforced to protect water quality and assists citizens in so doing
contributes to the development of new policy and regulation to protect the ecological integrity of Canada’s water resources
leads in the application of water soft path planning – the innovative approach that changes the concept of “water” to the “means to accomplish important tasks” such as sanitation or food production – through capacity building for planners, expert support to citizens and communities, awareness raising and education for communities and educators.
